Raja Ampat is right in the heart of the Coral Triangle and has over 1,500 islands. Many scientists believe Raja Ampat has the most coral and fish diversity in the world! Raja means King and Ampat means Four – Four Kings. The four kings are the main islands in Raja Ampat – Waigeo, Batanta, Salawati and Misool. Join us on breathtakingly spectacular, and truly unforgettable diving adventures.

Itinerary

Typical Day

On the evenings, the cruise directors will have outlined the plan for the next day, where to go, when to get up and what’s going to happen. Sometimes they might have to adjust it a bit if conditions change.

In the morning you’ll hear a knock on your door to let you know it’s time for the small breakfast. After small breakfast the briefing for the first dive will be done in the restaurant, before you go to the dive deck and get your things ready (wetsuit, dive computer, camera...). The rest of your dive gear will be waiting for you in the tender. A short tender ride will bring you to the first dive site. The guides will check the current and maybe modify the dive plan a bit, if necessary. And then it’s time to hop in and enjoy the dive!

Later, the tender will pick you up and bring you back on board for some dry towels and the next meal. From then on it is “eat, dive, relax, and repeat”. Depending on the itinerary we typically offer 3 or 4 dives on one day. The 4th dive may be a night dive or a sunset dive, depending on what works best at the current place where you’re at. On some days we might have a little land excursion visiting a nice viewpoint or another point of interest, depending on the cruise destination.

Sorong - Misool

Our crew will welcome you at Sorong airport. You will then proceed to Sorong harbour, where our tenders will take you to Coralia. Once all guests are on board, we will make the final arrangements with the port authorities and head south to Misool.

Misool’s small surrounding islands are a soft-coral paradise and a famous part of Raja Ampat. With its abundance of stunning dive sites and the natural beauty of karst limestone and jungle-clad islands, this area invites us to linger for a couple, or depending on the trip length, even several days.

Misool can be divided into many areas, where we can spend the whole day at a selection of amazing dive sites. Daram is in the very east of these islands and has inviting names such as Candy Store, Andiamo and Warna Berwarna (meaning Colourful Colour!). The sea fan forests here have to be seen to be believed!

In the iconic areas of Boo, Fiabecet and Yuliet, we may look through the iconic Boo Windows, with tonnes of fish surrounding us. We might explore fabulous dive sites like Shadow Reef (aka Magic Mountain), Nudibranch Rock, Batu Kecil, Whale Rock, Boo West Corner and Yuliet Kecil. And if we are lucky, we see the majestic giant and/or reef manta rays around here. Admire large coral heads covered in soft corals, maybe spotting the famous Santa Claus pygmy seahorse, while schools of barracudas and batfish might pass by. Our eagle-eyed dive masters will look for the endemic walking shark (epaulette shark) on a night dive at Romeo or Yuliet Besar.

The areas of Sagof, Wagmab and Farondi offer us stunning underwater walls, overhangs and cave structures, plus amazing macro life, such as nudibranchs, flatworms, anemone crabs and all kinds of shrimps. In this area, we have the opportunity to visit the wonderful lagoons – a must-see in Misool. These amazing geological structures come in iconic bee-hive-shaped karst limestone formations and hard-coral colonies at their base. If the tide is high enough, our crew will take you to the secret bay right at the back!

There are also lagoons at Wayilbatan, one of them is the Love Lagoon. If we visit this lagoon, we will do three dives on that day. The hike up the steep stairs is well worth the view – a blue heart shape. A drift dive through a channel covered in sea fans at Neptune Fan Sea is the perfect place to cool off after the hot walk. Wedding Cake and Barracuda Rock are other stunning dive sites in this area.

Misool – Dayang – Fam Islands

It is a long crossing up to Dayang, so on the last day of diving in Misool, we will do two dives before heading north.

Dayang on the northwest of Batanta is at the entrance of a bay and a perfect place to split up the journey. Here, we might come across wobbegong sharks and get to see great macro life, including ribbon eels, ghost pipefish and unusual nudibranchs. Dayang Island also offers another great chance to encounter manta rays, the gentle giants, at their cleaning stations.

Famous Melissa’s Garden awaits us with its spectacular, healthy, and wide-spread hard coral plateau, completely covered in colourful anthias and damsel fish. At Keruo Wall, we can admire large gorgonian sea fans and lovely reef tops. A short hike to Penemu viewpoint offers a spectacular view of the lagoons and its surrounding islands. On the day we visit the viewpoint, we will do three dives. To cool off, we might do a late afternoon dive at Batu Rufus, followed by a relaxed evening drinking cocktails and watching the sunset on deck.

Wayil & Misool

The Wayil region of Raja Ampat features a number of uncharted islands, each harboring pristine beaches and secret lagoons. Enjoy kayaking among the reefs or head out swimming and snorkeling in the crystal-clear waters. Next, we make a stop at Misool, one of the four major islands in Raja Ampat. While here, embark on an easy trek on small, sandy coves, and land-locked lakes. There will also be options to swim, snorkel, or kayak in the numerous blue pools hosting sparkling coral reefs.

Dayang Island & Penemu Islands

We sail to Dayang island, known for its abundance of marine life, especially manta ray. Snorkeling and diving the bordering reef systems to witness oceanic and reef manta ray is spectacular. After lunch, we explore the mesmerizing terrains and lagoons of the Penemu Island. These remote reefs are bursting with color and life. Snorkel at Batu Burung (Melissa's Garden) considered to be amongst the oldest and most pristine coral reefs in Raja Ampat. Inside the lagoon, on Penemu Island, we can take a short walk up the wooden stairs that will reward you with a panoramic view across the lagoon. We end the day at a pristine beach where a cocktail party awaits.

Yeben & Yangeffo Bay

Yeben Island is a hidden treasure of Raja Ampat known for its clear water and beautiful beaches. Spend the morning exploring the island and observing marine life in the surrounding waters. Head back onboard Aqua Blu to refuel your appetite while sailing to Yangeffo Island. While at Yangeffo Island, experience an exhilarating dive excursion at the renowned Mayhem Reef, or snorkel the mangroves at Citrus Ridge. Watch the sunset from a tender ride out at sea.

Coralia

With eight spacious cabins, designed by internationally renowned Deirdre Renniers, offer modern comfort and style while incorporating traditional details. Each cabin is air-conditioned, non-smoking, and has a spacious private bathroom with warm freshwater showers, towels and hairdryer. Environmentally friendly, natural soap and shower amenities are provided free of charge. In the cabin itself, guests will find cozy beds, a sofa, working desk and closet. A safety box, regular and USB charging stations provide further comfort.

Our four luxurious master cabins on the main and upper deck additionally feature each a private balcony, sun chair and outside sofa, where guests can indulge in the tropical scenery and never miss a sunrise or sunset.

The shaded dive deck has warm showers, a changing room, hangers, equipment storage and extra towels are provided for diving.
