Itinerary

Arrival in Lombok/Senggigi - Sembalun

Arrive in Lombok Praya International Airport and, after meeting with the guide and driver, receive a private transfer to Sembalun Village, at the foot of the Mount Rinjani.

The trekking guide will collect luggage in the morning for storage at base camp before departing for the trek. It will be transferred to the finish point in Senaru on the last trekking day.

Sembalun Panorama Walk

Get transfer in early morning proceed to the slope of Rinjani Mountain to begin the adventure.

Led by local guides, you will have an easy half-day walk exploring the foothills of spectacular Rinjani volcano (3700 meters high).

Starting near the border of Gunung Rinjani National Park, our route follows old pathways through shady bamboo groves and village gardens before entering a wide, open landscape of rice terraces and palms. Following a winding irrigation channel we reach the lush rainforest of the famous Sendang Gile Waterfall Reserve. It’s located 600 meters above sea level which 300 meters down make Sendang Gile become the tallest waterfall in Lombok.

Continue by come to Senaru Traditional Village, where mountain tribes life and civilization of past century still exist as a part of the nature.

Each turn of the track offers new vistas as finally Rinjani - the sacred mountain of the Sasak people - emerges majestically above rice terraces and rainforest. Late lunch will be provided at local restaurant upon the trek.

In the afternoon, get transfer to hotel.

Trek to Mt. Rinjani - Sembalun to Pelawangan II

Sembalun Lawang (1,156m) is the best place to begin on foot to reach the peak of Rinjani, Known for its spectacular scenery.

Start your trek from the Rinjani Trek Centre in the village of Sembalun lawang : the climb to Plawangan II at 2,650m will take about 6 hours via POSI (1,300M), POSII (1,500m) and POSIII (1,800m).

Arrive in the late afternoon / early evening to Pelawangan II at 2,650. Dinner will be prepared by your local team.

Overnight in tent at the Pelawangan II base camp at 2,650m.

Pelawangan II – Rinjani Summit – Sembalun – Gili Trawangan

From Pelawangan II, start early at 3 Am for a hard 3 hours climbing to the summit of Mt. Rinjani at 3.726m high. The goal is to reach the summit by sunrise.

You need to be well rested as this is a stiff task - the final climb is nearly 1,100 meters on difficult ground. Once there, enjoy proud feelings of satisfaction and the amazing sunrise views across the Wallace Line to Bali, Mt. Agung and Sumbawa. After enjoying sunrise, a complete breakfast prepared by the team is ready for you. Prepare all of your equipment and descend back to Sembalun.

Arriving at the Sembalun finish point you will be greeted by your driver, get some cold water and towel.

Say goodbye to the trekking and porter team and transfer in a private vehicle to the harbour for a boat transfer to Gili Trawangan.

Upon arrival, be transferred to the hotel in tropical paradise and enjoy the rest of the evening soaking up the island’s scenic ambience.

Dinner at leisure on Gili Trawangan & overnight in Gili Trawangan

Trekking Pelawangan Timba Nuh – Timba Nuh: 6 hours, downhill -1700meters (Difficulty: Medium)

Transfer Timba Nuh – Senggigi (88 km): 2 hours 30 minutes

Leisure Day in Gili Trawangan

Enjoy a leisurely breakfast at the resort and, after a challenging few days of trekking, spend the rest of the day at leisure. Stroll along the stunning white-sand beaches of the island, go snorkeling in its prismatic waters, or simply kick back and relax at the hotel while sipping coconut juice and soaking up the sun.

Gili Trawangan - Departure

Breakfast at the hotel before check-out. Departure time is dependent on the flight schedule

Be transferred by boat to Lombok and taken by private vehicle to the airport.

Optional: Transfer by speed boat from Gili Trawangan to Bali

It’s possible to transfer back to Bali by speed boat directly from Gili Air with a join-in drop off at the selected hotel in South Bali
